Liveable futures: radical imagination as method // radical imagination as survival

This research cluster has four sessions chaired by Ardath Whynacht, Erin Fredericks, El Jones and Alex Khasnabish
The panel engages researchers, artists, and social theorists in dialogue about the radical imagination as conceptual territory and method.

Our team will be presenting our paper entitled:
 “From HIV/AIDS to COVID-19: Radical Queer Futures Across Generations".

We've Survived Before

​Drawing on knowledge about community resilience and empowerment from 2SLGBTQIA+ elders who survived the AIDS epidemic, 2SLGBTQIA+ youth are developing a COVID-19 mental health program for their younger peers. ​

Imagining Liveable Futures

An arts-based project engaging queer, trans, Two Spirit, and non-binary youth in the generation of written, spoken, 
and visual accounts of their liveable futures. Submitted artwork will be made into a digital and travelling exhibition.
